Craft beer breweries meet in the nation’s capital for Beer Day Out 2015

Canberra’s premium craft beer event – Beer Day Out – is on again – Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November in Kingston at the Former Transport Depot. This year’s event will showcase 30 local, interstate and international breweries, pouring more than 150 different beers amidst master classes, roving entertainment and international culinary options to suit every palate.

Craft beer enthusiasts will recognize renowned Australian breweries like Bridge Road Brewers, Stone & Wood, Murray’s, and Mountain Goat. There will be several rising stars on show, including La Sirène, Pirate Life and Stockade. International heavy weights Sierra Nevada, Panhead Custom Ales, Rodenbach Brewery and Fullers will feature along with our local superstars Bentspoke, Zierholz and Pact. The full list of breweries attending Beer Day Out 2015 can be found on the Beer Day Out website.

Organisers Steve Hegarty of Liquid Feast and Ant Young of Plonk Beer and Wine Store are excited to announce the support of several local sponsors including Rolfe Classic BMW, Rolfe Classic Mini Garage, Diplomat Boutique Hotel, Barlens Event Hire, Southern Cross Ten and O’Conner Commercial Refrigeration for Beer Day Out.

In return, Beer Day Out is committed to supporting the community and proudly facilitates opportunities for local charity Hartley Lifecare through the event.

Beer Day Out is just one of 25 craft beer related events to be held in the nation’s capital during Canberra Beer Week, from 5 – 11 November. Other events will include tap takeovers, Meet the Brewer dinners, High Tea afternoons, specialty beer tastings, craft beer ‘fight clubs’, State of Origin-style beer clashes, and masterclasses by moi.

Over 4000 men and women (including more than 800 interstate visitors) attended Canberra Beer Week events last year. Hundreds of people were turned away from Beer Day Out 2014, with the final available tickets being sold within minutes of the gates opening.

Event organisers are predicting more than 7000 people this year will attend Canberra Beer Week events. Beer Day Out tickets are available online now through
